According to the LBPD, a pedestrian, later identified as 32-year-old Kymberly Davenport a Long Beach resident, was struck and killed by an 18-year-old driver on the intersection of Atherton and Palo Verde Avenue early yesterday morning.

  • The victim was transported to a nearby hospital but later died from her injuries at the hospital.

  • The driver, an 18-year-old male, was driving a Dodge pickup at the time of the crash.

  • The LBPD doesn't think speed, cell phone use or alcohol/drugs were factors in this crash
