15-year-old girl rescued, LA Man & Woman Arrested On Suspicion Of Human Trafficking in LB
A routine traffic stop in Central Long Beach leads to the arrest of a man and a woman on suspicion of human trafficking a 15-year-old girl, police announced Monday.
The arrest occurred in the early morning of Feb. 6, at roughly 9:00 a.m., when LBPD officers administered a typical traffic stop on a car that had no license plates in the area of Pacific Coast Highway and Lemon Avenue, police said.
The driver, Reson Richard, a 27-year-old resident of Los Angeles, was driving without a license, a registered sex offender, and on supervised release.
The passenger, Samantha Davis, a 21-year-old resident of the City of Los Angeles, has an outstanding arrest warrant for prostitution.
During the traffic stop, police observed a 15-year-old girl sitting in the back seat, which Vice detectives would later discover to be a runaway from Sini Valley.
Also, the investigation revealed both the male and female adult suspects were trafficking the young victim.
Richard and Davis are both facing human trafficking charges, plus pimping and pandering. Both suspects are being held on $150,000 bail. The case is expected to be presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office later today.
