A Double Shooting in Central Long Beach leaves a 3-year-old wounded
Authorities say a 3-year-old boy and an adult man are in stable condition following a shooting Sunday night, Oct 4th, in Central Long Beach.
LBPD spokesperson Brandon Fahey provided additional information regarding the double shooting.
Preceding the shooting, both the suspect and the adult male victim were in a heated exchange, but it's unknown what led up to the shooting.
The suspect and the victims are not related, but they do know each other, police say.
The suspect has not been charged yet, and the investigation is ongoing.
Officers responded to the 1100 block of East 10th Street at approximately 10:45 pm regarding what police described as a "hit shooting," both victims suffered gunshot wounds and later transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
Police say the suspect has been reported as an adult male and believed to be related to the victims.
According to the police, they apprehended the suspect earlier this morning in the City of Cypress.
Streaming562 reported that the 3-year-old victim suffered a gunshot wound in the back, and the adult victim shot in the leg.
