Another 2.1 Million Americans Filed for Unemployment as States Reopen
As states prepare to reopen their economies, 2.1 million Americans have filed for unemployment claims last week, according to the Department of Labor.
In 10-weeks 40+ million Americans have filed for unemployment benefits.
A total of 1.19 million people filed claims through the Pandemic Unemployment Assistance program last week, per NBC News.
Some Good News:
The DOL data also showed a decrease of 3,860,000 of those applying, meaning nearly 4 million people came off unemployment benefits this month.
