Blaze erupts at a North Long Beach apartment complex

Long Beach firefighters extinguished a structure fire at an apartment building in North Long Beach Thursday afternoon.
Details:
A plume of smoke and a burst of flames were seen at roughly 1:30 p.m at an apartment complex on the 2800 block of East Artesia Boulevard, according to LBFD.
The 3rd-alarm fire caused the roof of the complex to partially collapse.
No injuries occurred, but a dozen apartments were demolished, and the Red Cross was requested to aid residents displaced by the fire, per NBC LA.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
