Christain group is raising funds for Kenosha shooter

A Christian crowdfunding site is fundraising for accused Kenosha gunman Kyle Rittenhoue's legal defense. Rittenhouse accused of killing two people and injuring another during in the aftermath of the Jacob Blake shooting, first reported by Newsweek.


The fundraiser was created by a group who call themselves Friends of the Rittenhouse family and at this moment, their GiveSecondGo.com campaign has raised $268,881 for Rittenhouse's legal defense from over 6,000 donors. Under the fundraising story tab, it states that Rittenhouse "just defended himself from a brutal attack by multiple members of the far-leftist group ANTIFA – the experience was undoubtedly a brutal one, as he was forced to take two lives to defend his own."

  • Rittenhouse is facing 6 counts, including 1st-degree reckless homicide, 1st-degree intentional homicide, and possession of a dangerous weapon. If found guilty Rittenhous e could receive a life sentence.

  • Under the comment section, one anonymous donor wrote, "This kid was part of a group trying to PROTECT the city and businesses. We have to save this country and every city in it."

  • Another donor named Brandon wrote, "Looks like this young gentleman was defending himself and defending others and they are trying to paint him as a villain, He was helping people with medical regardless of ideology and only shot the people attacking him exactly the number of times it took to stop them, from the footage I saw...seems like an injustice that he was even charged but he cooperated with authorities and the footage should help him, but there is so much confusion that that may be why they charged him."
