Coast Guard to halts search for missing crew member near Seal Beach

The United States Coast Guard has called off the search for a missing crew member who fell overboard from a fishing boat Saturday, per multiple reports.


Since Saturday, the US Coast Guard has been searching for a missing 35-year-old Asian man who was a crew member on the Sea Queen II, a ship docked near Seal Beach. The absent crew member was last seen at about 2 a.m.; he was spotted wearing a red sweatshirt and black sweatpants.

  • Long Beach Fire and police assisted with the search, plus eight other local authorities.

  • Coast Guard Petty Officer Richard Brahm told The Post that the Coast Guard searched 43 square miles for about five hours.
