Compton man arrested for armed robbery in Long Beach

Long Beach police arrested a 56-year-old man Wednesday in connection with a series of armed robberies.
Details:
According to a press release, police successfully identified the prime suspect
as 56-year-old Compton resident Bernard Jester.
Jester is accused of entering a multiple businesses armed with a gun and demanding cash.
Police say Jester is responsible for at least six of the robberies that started between February 26 and July 7.
Jester was captured on March 25, after police observed a vehicle matching the description of the suspect vehicle and made a traffic stop.
He was later charged with having an outstanding warrant, carrying a controlled drug to jail, driving without a license, possession of prohibited paraphernalia, driving with an obstructed view, and possession narcotics.
LBPD detectives later arrested Jester and charged him with second-degree robbery.
