Dead body recovered from the LA river in Long Beach
Long Beach Police Department is investigating the circumstances that lead to a dead body lying on the bank of the Los Angeles River in North Long Beach, police say.
LBPD spokesperson Brandon Fahey has told the Modern Times that police and Long Beach Fire Department personnel arrived at the scene at approximately 8:42 a.m., near East Artesia Boulevard and the Los Angeles Riverbed, after receiving a call regarding a dead body.
Fahey says the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office has been called and will respond to the scene to aid with the investigation.
At the moment, Fahey says there’s “no information regarding the decedent nor the circumstances of their death have yet been determined,” and the investigation is ongoing.
