The third Democratic presidential debate was the first time the top contenders shared the same stage. Overall, the candidates focused more at attacking each other and less Trump bashing.

What Happened:

Debate Moderator Jorge Ramos asked Biden on whether President Obama made a mistake regarding mass-deportations, Biden responded by saying "the president [Obama] did the best thing that was able to be done at the time" and that he was only "the vice president of the US".

Former Labor Secretary Julian Castro, quickly challenged Biden, by suggesting Biden was dodging the question, “I agree that Barack Obama is very different from Donald Trump,” he said. “He wants to take credit for Obama’s work but not have to answer any questions.”

Bernie and Warren Clash With Biden Over Medicare-For-All

What They Said on Health Care:

Bernie: " I wrote the damn bill, if I may say so, [I] intend to eliminate all out-of-pocket expenses, all deductibles, all co-payments. Nobody in America will pay more than $200 a year for prescription drugs because we're gonna stand up to the greed, and corruption and price-fixing of the pharmaceutical industry."

Bided: " I know the senator [Warren] says she's for Bernie. Well,

I'm for Barack. I think Obama-Care worked". The former Vice President would later add "How are we going to pay for it? I want to hear that tonight,” the former Vice President said.

Warren: "We pay for, those at the very top the richest individuals and the biggest corporations are going to pay more. And middle-class families are going to pay less".

Harris Gets Pressed on Her Changing Criminal Justice Views

Sen. Kamala Harris focused more on attacking President Trump, rather than her fellow contenders. Even saying President Donald Trump's trade policy remind her "of that guy in 'The Wizard of Oz,' you know, when you pull back the curtain, it's a really small dude," Harris was referring to the Oz character.
