FBI Locates Missing Humvee in LA County
The FBI's Los Angeles office announced Wednesday morning that the stolen Humvee from the California National Guard Armory in Bell had been recovered.
Last week, the $120,000 Humvee was taken Friday morning, at around 8:15 a.m. from the armory, in Bell, according to the FBI.
The FBI offered a $10,000 reward for the whereabouts of the Humvee.
The FBI didn't give a precise location where the armored car was found but only announced it was discovered in Southeast Los Angeles County.
FBI's Major Theft Task Force was assigned to find the Humvee and the investigation proceeds to identify the suspect or suspects who stole the vehicle.
Why it matters:
As part of President Biden's inauguration security, the FBI vetted all 25,000 National Guard troops due to fears of an insider attack, according to a report by the Associated Press.
