Fire in Alamitos Beach Damages Roof, No Injuries

LBFD firefighters doused a structure fire that burnt through the roof and caused a power outage in North Alamitos Beach Sunday night
Details:
According to LBFD spokesperson Brian Fish, the blaze occurred at roughly 5:30 p.m., as an "exterior tent fire" on the patio spread to the adjacent roof of a home on the 400 block of Walnut Ave near Fourth Street.
Fisk also said that no injuries occurred, and the LBPD was on the scene for traffic and crowd control.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, but a witness told the Post that a mylar balloon hit the electrical lines and caused an explosion, and a neighbor claimed to have found pieces of a burnt Spider-man balloon.
