L.B.P.D Officer-Involved Shooting on Atlantic Ave Liquor Store: What We Know So Far

What We Know So Far:
LBPD is investigating an officer-involved shooting, that occurred sometime around 9 pm, at a liquor store located at the intersection of Atlantic Ave and Market Street, which concluded with the police shooting and killing the suspect in an exchange of gunfire.
According to the LBPD, the suspect, identified only as a 22-year-old Long Beach resident armed with a shotgun, shot two people at two separate locations
At some point during the altercation with the police, the suspect was struck by an LBPD police cruiser, after the suspect fired two shots at the police car, per ABC 7 News.
One of the victims was shot several times at a nearby Popeyes and is in critical condition at a nearby hospital.
This is the second officer-involved shooting this week.
