Lakers win the 2020 NBA Finals

Lebron James and Anthony Davis led the Lakers over Miami Heat 106 to 93 in game six of the 2020 NBA Finals from Advent Health Area in Walt Disney World, scoring the franchise its 17th NBA championship tieing the Bostin Celtics Sunday night.

Why this championship is different:

This season started with the Lakers winning 24 of their first 27 games, and on January 25th, Lebron James passed Kobe Bryant on the all-time NBA scoring list. Then the next day, January 26th, Lakers legend Kobe Bryand, his daughter Gianna and seven others died in a helicopter crash over Calabasas.

🏀The NBA suspended the season on March 11th due to the Coronavirus pandemic and then were restarted in July at Walt Disney World Advent Health Arena, nicknamed "The Bubble."

🏀Lebron James won his fourth NBA championship and was named NBA Finals MVP, his 4th overall.

🏀Lakers point guard Rajon Rondo won his second NBA championship, his first since leaving Boston in 2008.

🏀The NBA playoffs were halted after players boycotted the games in response to the shooting of Jacob Blake in Kenosha, Wisconsin; the Lakers and the Clippers even voted to end the season.
