LB COVID Update: 1 new death; 5 new cases, & L.A County beaches set to reopen Wednesday
Long Beach health officials announced Monday another COVID-19 related death and five new cases.
The 60-year-old male patient was a resident of a long-term care facility and suffered from an underlying health condition.
L.A County officials announced that beaches, which have been closed since March 27, will reopen this Wednesday for active use only, but parking lots, piers and boardwalks will remain closed to the public.
L.A County's Department of Public Health reported 591 new cases and 39 new deaths.
