LB COVID19 Update: One new death; 17 new cases, & some businesses reopen

Long Beach officials announced 17 new coronavirus cases and the death of another resident from coronavirus complications, bring the death toll to 44.
A small reopen Long Beach protest was held on Saturday, near the Lone Sailor Memorial at Bluff Park, it was reported that seven demonstrators showed up, per FORTH media.
Some lockdown restrictions were lifted Friday, allowing some retailers to open, but under social distancing protocols.
Later today, beach bike and pedestrian paths, tennis centers, and tennis courts in parks will open.
Public parks are open for passive activities only, including walking, running, and biking.
