LBFD responded to a two-alarm fire; no injuries
Multiple firefighters responded to a two-alarm fire in the Washington neighborhood of Long Beach on Tuesday afternoon.
When fire units arrived at the scene, at roughly 2:40 p.m. on the 200 block of East. 10th Street, they came upon an empty single-story commercial building with plumes of smoke spouting through the roof.
On their Twitter page, LBFD says that shortly after engaging the blaze, units on the roof were pulled due to "conditions."
Firefighters searched the building, and some units remained at the scene to assist with the investigation.
LBFD says even though the building was vacant at the time of the blaze, there were indications that persons experiencing homelessness occupied the structure.
