LBPD Arrest Suspect in Cambodia Town Stabbing


Long Beach police announced the apprehension of a suspect who allegedly stabbed a man in the Cambodia Town neighborhood of Long Beach Sunday morning, Dec. 27.


What Happened:

LBPD officers were dispatched to the area of Olive Avenue and Atlas Way just before 1:00 a.m., where they found a man suffering from a non-life-threatening knife wound to his upper body.

  • Detectives think an argument commenced between the two men that escalated to the point that the suspect stabbed the victim.

  • The suspect and the victim did know each other.

  • David Palmer, age 62, is facing attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon charge. Palmer is currently being held at the Long Beach City jail on a $1 million bail.
