LBPD arrest two men for trafficing teenagers
The Long Beach Police Department announced the apprehension of two men who were allegedly trafficking two missing teenagers in the city of Montclair.
The investigation was initiated in February after LBPD detectives, who were previously investigating a missing teenager's case, received additional information that the missing teenager they're searching for was being trafficked for prostitution in Montclair.
🚨: Detectives arranged a meeting with the missing 15-year-old and was able to rescue her on March 10th.
🚨: During the investigation, police discovered another victim who was being trafficked. She was saved three days later.
🚨: LBPD detectives arrested 23-year-old San Bernardino resident Semaj Kelly on September 18th and 27-year-old Los Angeles resident Marcus Jones.
🚨 Kelly is currently being held on $175,000 bail after being charged with one count of Human Trafficking of a victim under the age of 18-years-old and Jones is in federal custody for unrelated drug charges.
🚨 Police say the two female victims, ages 15 and 16, were listed as missing persons from Long Beach and Los Angeles.
