LBPD asking for public's help as they investigate deadly hit-&-run

Long Beach Police are asking for the public's help finding a driver who fled the scene of a fatal hit-and-run in North Long Beach in early November, police say.


According to authorities, the incident occurred Friday, November 12, when a man in his 70's was struck near the intersection of East Artesia Boulevard and Atlantic Avenue.

  • David Bermudez, a 72-year-old Long Beach resident, has been confirmed as the pedestrian.

  • The suspect's car is a mid-2000's dark-color Toyota Camry with tinted windows and a missing hub cap on the front driver's side tire.

  • Mr. Bermudez suffered injuries to his upper body and would die ten days later.
