LBPD Helicopter Made an Emergency Landing on Shoreline Drive

The Long Beach Police helicopter made an emergency landing on Shoreline Drive due "to maintenance reasons," according to an LBPD spokesperson.

The copter made the unscheduled landing at 11:10 p.m., LBPD spokesperson Arantxa Chavarria told MTLB, "Our helicopter was grounded as a precaution due to maintenance reasons, shortly after it was safely flown back to our helipad."
The aircraft was grounded for 90 minutes, and the spontaneous landing was not a result of the thunderstorm, per the LB Post.
