LBPD Investigating a Murder on 6th Street

Details:

Earlier today, at roughly 2:05 AM, police responded to calls of gunfire on the 700 block of East 6th Steet which culminated in the death of an adult male.

• Police discovered an unconscious adult male in an ally behind a residence with a gunshot wound to his upper body, LBFD later determined the victim was dead at the scene.

• The victim's identity is being withheld and has only been described as a 33-year-old male resident of Los Angeles.

• The motive of the crime is unknown at this time, but police do believe the incident is gang-related.

• The suspect is believed to have fled the scene of the shooting on foot.
