Update: Roommate Charged in Suspicious West LB Death

Update:
A Long Beach resident has been charged with murdering and sexually assaulting his 69-year old roommate, says police.
Kerry Johnson, age 69, a Long Beach resident was taken into custody at the scene of the crime shortly after the incident occurred on June 3.
According to investigators, the victim suffered a sexual assault and "major trauma" to the victim's upper body, resulting in death.
Johnson is facing one count of murder and one count of a felony sexual assault and is currently being held without bail at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility in Los Angeles.

The LBPD is investigating the death of a 66-year-old West Long Beach resident who they say died of "suspicious circumstances".
Details:
Little is known about the case but according to the police, on Wednesday night, at approximately 10:40 p.m. police officers were sent off to the 1800 block West 25th St in the Westside, joining Long Beach firefighters for a "medical emergency".
The victim, who only been described by police, as a 66-year-old female resident of Long Beach, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim’s identity is being withheld until next of kin is notified
The cause of death will be determined by the L.A County Medical Examiner-Coroner.
L.B.P.D homicide detectives are investigating.
