LBPD Investigating the Murder of 31-Year-Old Man in the East Village
LBPD is investigating the death of a 31-year-old man who was shot and killed in his apartment in the East Village neighborhood of Long Beach Tuesday night.
According to police, a man called 911 at about 9:45 p.m after finding his roommate lying on their apartment floor. When officers arrived at the scene, located on the 600 block of Olive Avenue, they found an adult male who sustained a gunshot wound to his upper body.
Both the arriving offices and paramedics used Life-saving measures, but the victim would later die at the scene.
Investigators believe the shooting occurred inside the home, but the motive remains unknown.
Currently, the victim has only been identified as a 31-year-old male pending notification to next of kin by the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office.
