LBPD Investigating Two Separate Stabbings

The Long Beach Police Department was dispatched to multiple locations Friday night and early Saturday morning after receiving calls concerning two separate stabbings incidents.


11:50 PM Friday, Dec. 11| LBPD officers were send-off to a Long Beach area hospital to talk to a woman who claimed she was stabbed in an altercation in North Long Beach.

  • The female victim told the arriving officers that she was in a verbal argument with another woman, which intensified to the point that the suspect began stabbing the victim, police say.

  • The incident occurred in the area of Cherry Ave and Harding Street in North Long Beach.

  • Even after being wounded in the upper and lower body, the victim drove herself to the hospital for treatment. Police described her injuries as non-life-threatening.

  • The victim didn't provide any additional information about the incident to the police.

1:35 AM Saturday, Dec.12| Police Officers were dispatched to a Long Beach area hospital regarding a man who supposedly suffered stab wounds after a chance encounter with a group of men.

  • The victim said that he was walking near the intersection of Del Amo and Long Beach Blvd when a group of men exited a vehicle and began striking and stabbing him.

  • According to police, the victim drove himself to the hospital with non-life-threatening stab wounds after the attack.
