LBPD Investigating Two Separate Stabbings
The Long Beach Police Department was dispatched to multiple locations Friday night and early Saturday morning after receiving calls concerning two separate stabbings incidents.
11:50 PM Friday, Dec. 11| LBPD officers were send-off to a Long Beach area hospital to talk to a woman who claimed she was stabbed in an altercation in North Long Beach.
The female victim told the arriving officers that she was in a verbal argument with another woman, which intensified to the point that the suspect began stabbing the victim, police say.
The incident occurred in the area of Cherry Ave and Harding Street in North Long Beach.
Even after being wounded in the upper and lower body, the victim drove herself to the hospital for treatment. Police described her injuries as non-life-threatening.
The victim didn't provide any additional information about the incident to the police.
1:35 AM Saturday, Dec.12| Police Officers were dispatched to a Long Beach area hospital regarding a man who supposedly suffered stab wounds after a chance encounter with a group of men.
The victim said that he was walking near the intersection of Del Amo and Long Beach Blvd when a group of men exited a vehicle and began striking and stabbing him.
According to police, the victim drove himself to the hospital with non-life-threatening stab wounds after the attack.
