LBPD looking for sexual assault suspect

The Long Beach Police Department is searching for a suspect accused of sexual assault.


The LBPD says on Aug 11, officers were initially sent to the area of Long Beach Boulevard and Willow Street regarding a burglary at roughly 11:55 p.m. When police arrived, a 22-year-old woman told the officers she was in her home when an unknown man entered through the window. The victim was able to call 9-1-1, and the suspect fled the scene before police arrived.

  • At roughly 12:10 a.m., officers were sent to the area of Willow Street and Atlantic Avenue concerning a burglary, but police met a 66-year-old woman who said she was sexually assaulted.

  • The victim at the second location told police a man entered her window and stole her car, the detectives believe the same suspect is responsible for both crimes.

  • The suspect was described as a Black man between the ages of 45 and 50, with a goatee. Police say the suspect was wearing a black hooded jacket, knitted beanie, black jeans and black shoes.
