The Long Beach Police Department asks for the public assistance with identifying the suspects responsible for the 2019 Halloween night mass shooting that left three people dead and nine others wounded. No suspect has been named, nor has anyone been charged over the incident.

During a Friday morning press conference, LBPD Chief Robert Luna released three videos of three vehicles that police believe was used by the potential suspects in the October 29th shooting in Rose Park.

  • Chief Luna said the initial description of the shooter(s) as a male of an "unknown race wearing dark clothing," with his face concealed, fleeing away "in a dark color vehicle," was not accurate. And as the investigation into the shooting continued, police learned multiple vehicles were potentially used, and additional suspects were involved in this shooting.

  • What's New: Investigators identified three cars believed to have been involved in the mass shooting, the suspects traveled from North Long Beach. There is a possibility that the incident is gang-related, and police don't view the shooting as a random act of violence.

  • Luna said police have collected "hundreds of hours of video" but only released a few short videos of the suspect's vehicles.

  • A $40,000 reward has been made available for information leading to the persons involved' arrest and conviction.

What they're saying:

  • LBPD Chief Robert Luna said, "We need the public's help to identify suspects and the vehicle license plate number, even a small amount of information can significantly help our investigation. And if you remember the tragic events of this incident, um, the day after the incident, I referred to these suspects as cowards, and I think that's what they are,".

  • When asked about potential gang involvement in the shooting Luna said, " we believe the suspects may be gang members, but in regards to the victims, there was no gang affiliation with any of the victims,".
