LBPD: Woman stabbed by a relative during a family dispute

LBPD officers were sent to the 5700 block Orizaba Avenue at about 2:00 a.m. after a family disturbance became violent early Wednesday morning, per the LBP.

Details:

After police arrived at the scene, they came upon a woman with stab wounds in her upper body and were rushed to a nearby hospital for medical attention. Authorities are saying an altercation between a male and female relative intensified into a stabbing.

• The male relative fled on foot the scene before police arrived, and the police are still investigating the incident.
