Long Beach COVID-19 Update: 3 more deaths; 73 new cases & LBPD employee tested positive
Long Beach city officials announced three more residents have died from coronavirus complications and 73 new confirmed cases bringing the total number to 9,283 since the start of the pandemic.
126 coronavirus related deaths are associated with long-term care facilities.
A Police Department employee assigned to the LBPD's Support Bureau tested positive for the coronavirus. The employee lasts at work on August 5 and is at home, recovering in isolation.
1,252 coronavirus cases have been confirmed at 32 Long Beach area long-term care facilities since the start of the pandemic.
