Long Beach Extends Curfew, Begins at 6 PM
For the third day in a row the City of Long Beach has issued curfew following days of protests over the death of George Floyd and acts of violence by some individuals.
The curfew will go into effect Tuesday night, June 2nd at 6:00 p.m and ends 6:00 a.m Wednesday. June 3rd.

Some ride-hailing app companies like Uber and Doordash have suspended services.
L.A County issued a county-wide curfew also starting at 6:00 p.m
Curfew does not apply to people voting in today’s Special Elections in City of Commerce & Pico Rivera.
Today's Long Beach City Council meeting has been cancelled
The National Guard has commandeered the parking lot at Signal Hill's Hilltop Park for a communications outpost, Signal Hill PD says.

Protest, like the one on Sunday afternoon in Long Beach, like other cities across America, started peacefully but turned violent as some protesters clashed with police. Later, Sunday evening, there were multiple reported acts of looting and arson that nearly spiraled the city into near chaos.
