Long Beach man accused of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl

A 54-year-old Long Beach resident was arrested on suspicion of molesting a minor inside his SUV; the Long Beach Police Department announced earlier this week.
Details:
James Earl Britt has been charged with two counts of oral copulation with a person under the age of 18, two counts of sexual battery, and two counts of annoying or molesting a child under 18.
Backstory:
Britt came under the eye of the Long Beach Police Department in February after sex crimes detectives began investigating a case concerning a male adult driving a 2005 Silver Volvo and a 16-year-old female victim.
Police allege Britt forced a 16-year-old girl into his car along PCH and Temple Ave, drove to another location, and then forced her to perform sexual acts before dumping her.
During the course of the investigation, police discovered Britt shared similarities with a 2018 case involving a 17-year-old
Britt was placed under arrest and held at the Long Beach City Jail on a $100,000 bail.
