James Earl Britt has been charged with two counts of oral copulation with a person under the age of 18, two counts of sexual battery, and two counts of annoying or molesting a child under 18.

Backstory:

Britt came under the eye of the Long Beach Police Department in February after sex crimes detectives began investigating a case concerning a male adult driving a 2005 Silver Volvo and a 16-year-old female victim.

  • Police allege Britt forced a 16-year-old girl into his car along PCH and Temple Ave, drove to another location, and then forced her to perform sexual acts before dumping her.

  • During the course of the investigation, police discovered Britt shared similarities with a 2018 case involving a 17-year-old

  • Britt was placed under arrest and held at the Long Beach City Jail on a $100,000 bail.
