Long Beach Police: Pedestrian shot at Near Admiral Kidd Park

Police say they are searching for a gunman who shot a man while walking near Admiral Kidd Park Tuesday night, LB Post reports.

The suspect reportedly walked up to the victim and tried to talk to him, but the victim would disregard the suspect's attempt to have a chat and continued to walk away; that's when the suspect opened fire.

  • The LBPD says the victim was not hurt, and the suspect fled the scene.

  • The event took place at roughly 8:30 p.m., on 23rd Street near Seabright Avenue.

  • Police don't have a motive for the shooting, nor do they have a description of the suspect.
