  • Zendejas Wins Special Election For LB City Council D1: LB Transit Director Mary Zendejas won with 31% of the vote to claim the open Long Beach City Council District 1 seat.

  • LB City Halts Parking Meters on 4th Street: The city delays its plan to install parking meters on 4th Street’s Retro Row after public outcry.

  • The Driver Who Killed a Family of 3 on Halloween Night, is Being Held Without Bail: Carlo Navaro, a 20-year old resident from Long Beach, is suspected of being under the influence of alcohol when he, allegedly, ran over a family of three on Halloween night. Navaro is being held without bail after being re-arrested and charged with vehicular manslaughter.

  • LBFD extinguished an attic fire in El Dorado Park Estates: No one was hurt.

  • One Man was Stabbed in DTLB: A group of men allegedly cut a man early Saturday morning on Pacific Avenue and E. Sixth Street at about 9 a.m.

  • A Candlelight Vigil was held Thursday night for the Family Killed on Halloween at Los Cerritos Park.
