Long Beach's East Village shooting leaves one man wounded

One man was wounded in a possible 'gang-related" shooting in the East Village neighborhood of Long Beach late Monday afternoon, according to authorities.

LBPD officers responded at 4:21 p.m. to the 100 block of Liem Avenue, according to LBPD Public Information Officer Paige White.
Reached via email, White says the victim suffered "multiple non-life threatening gunshot wounds to the lower body."
An unknown number of suspects fled the scene before police arrived.
White didn't provide the victim's identity, but that LBFD transported the victim to a nearby hospital, and he is in stable condition.
LBPD gang-detectives are investigating the shooting. No suspects have been arrested, and the motive for the shooting is unknown.
