Man dies at the Port of Long Beach
Long Beach firefighters rescued a man on top of a container crane at the Port of Long Beach who was suffering from a medical emergency.
According to the LBFD, crews were called to the 300 block of Mediterranean Way at roughly 6 p.m., Monday night.
First responders attempted to resuscitate the ill man on the crane, but he later died.
LBFD spokesperson Jack Crabtree told the Post that about 20 firemen helped to lower the man down.
The Los Angeles County Coroner's Office was also on the scene, and they will investigate the man's death.
