Man rescued off the coast of Seal Beach

A Seal Beach lifeguard saved a man swimming too far from the shore Tuesday afternoon.
What they're saying:
According to a witness, the incident occurred Tuesday at around 5 p.m., near the Seal Beach Municipal Pier.
Bob Arcand wrote on his Facebook page that he saw, “a couple of young men swimming a long way from shore. Did not think much of it until I saw a lifeguard climb the railing and jump feet first into the water. A moment later he was towing a tired swimmer to shore.”
SBPD Chief Joe Bailey told the Modern Times that the lifeguard assisted two young swimmers far ahead of the pier.
