Motorcyclist killed in collision with Hyundai, LBPD says

A Long Beach man died after a car crashed into him while driving his motorcycle in the Wilmore neighborhood, police say.
Details:
The crash occurred last Tuesday, Mar 8, at about 4 p.m., near the intersection of 7th Street and Magnolia Avenue, when a 48-year-old driver heading west on 7th Street in his 2011 Hyundai Sonata made a turn from the number-two lane to travel south onto Magnolia Avenue and hit the motorcycle.
The motorcyclist was a 61-year-old Long Beach resident traveling west on 7th Street in the number one lane.
After the crash, the motorcyclist was transferred to a nearby hospital but died a day later.
The Hyundai driver remained on the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
At this time, neither speed nor impaired or distracted driving appears to be factored in this collision.
