No new deaths; 38 new Coronavirus cases in Long Beach




What's New:

Long Beach public health officials announced 38 new cases of the infectious coronavirus, bringing the cities total to 667 confirmed cases.

  • Today is the highest recorded confirmed cases

  • One male, who was trying to enter a homeless shelter in West Long Beach, displayed coronavirus symptoms and was taken to a nearby hospital, per the LBP

  • The L.B.C.C's Pacific Coast Campus testing site is a LA County site and will continue to be available only to symptomatic individuals and frontline essential workers who are symptomatic or asymptomatic per their Countywide policy.

  • 667 total positive results

  • 36 fatalities 

  • 58 people hospitalized 

  • 201 confirmed cases are linked to 17 Long Beach area long-term care facilities

  • Approximately 402 recoveries (recovery data is self-reported.)
