The incident occurred Sunday night at roughly 10:10 pm while LBPD officers were operating on the 900 block of East 19th Street in Central Long Beach.

  • According to LBPD, the suspect fled police on foot after "several de-escalation attempts" from officers, but the suspect was "uncooperative".

  • At one point, officers used a taser to subdue the suspect but it wasn't effective.
