One man injured in shooting near Downtown Long Beach, LBPD says

The Long Beach Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred Tuesday afternoon in the 2000 block of Pacific Avenue in which one man was wounded.
Details:
LBPD spokesperson Richard Mejia told the Modern Times that officers were sent to the 2000 block of Pacific Avenue at 2:55 p.m. for an attack with a deadly weapon call. When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from "life-threatening injuries to the upper torso."
🚨: The Long Beach Fire Department arrived on the scene and transported the victim, who was in critical condition, to a nearby hospital.
🚨: Mejia says the victim was in an alley when a group of unknown individuals inside a white sedan approached the victim and shot him.
🚨: Police located evidence, including bullet casings and strike marks, indicating a shooting had occurred. Officers are still on the scene.
🚨: The incident is being investigated as possibly a gang-related incident.
