One man shot & killed in a robbery in Long Beach's East Village

LBPD is investigating the murder of a man who was shot Thursday afternoon, September 10th, while inside his car in an apparent robbery
Details: At roughly 12:30 p.m, LBPD officers were sent to the 400 block of Atlantic Avenue, concerning a shooting that resulted in one adult male's death. According to the police, when the officers arrived at the scene, they discovered a man in the driver's seat of a car suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body.
The victim received aid from a passenger until officers arrived and started life-saving measures; unfortunately, the victim later died at the hospital.
Investigators think three suspects were robbing the victim and one of the suspects shot the victim sometime during the altercation. According to Streaming562, the victim crashed into a street pole after being shot.
A rifle was discovered near the 500 block of E. 5th Street and arrested the suspects in the 600 block of Long Beach Blvd.

LBPD detectives announced the arrested of three suspects in connection with this case:
Mykeel Tucker Peddycoat, 23 years old and a resident of Long Beach, was booked for murder and is being held on $2,000,000 bail.
Branden Charles Wilson, 28 years old and a resident of Long Beach, was booked for murder and is being held on $2,000,000 bail.
Ayana Denae Powell, 19 years old and a resident of Long Beach, was booked for murder and is being held on $2,000,000 bail.
