Partly decomposed body discovered in a storage container in the L.A River
The LBPD has launched an investigation into the circumstances behind a decaying body found inside a storage container in a shallow part of the Los Angeles River.
On Monday, August 31, at roughly 7:00 p.m., LBPD officers responded to the 3700 block of E 208th Street to assist Long Beach Fire, who discovered the body.
According to the police, the decomposing body was partially enclosed within a large storage container and was found resting in a shallow portion of the L.A River.
LBPD's homicide detectives were called to the scene and the L.A County Coroner's Office would later take possession of the body to determine the cause of death.
