Police identify victim of deadly North Long Beach shooting
The victim in a fatal shooting last Tuesday afternoon, who was found lying on the 400 block of South Street, has been identified as 24-year-old Larry Jefferson, the LA County Medical Examiner-Cornor’s office announced.
The Cornor’s office says on their website, Jefferson died from 'gunshot wounds,' and his death has been ruled a homicide.
According to LBPD, on March 29, at around 12:44 p.m, Jefferson was discovered by police ‘down in the street with a gunshot wound’ and later died at a nearby hospital.
Investigators say Jefferson “ got into a verbal dispute” with a suspect or suspects, that escalated into a fight and later a shooting.
No suspects have been arrested, but LBPD believes the shooting is gang-related.
