San Diego Gym that defied lockdown orders now linked to COVID-19 outbreak
A gym, located in the Pacific Beach neighborhood of San Diego operated in violation of county health orders and remained open for indoor use is now linked to a coronavirus outbreak, KSWB-TV reporting.
The fitness facility named 'The Gym' remained open for indoor workouts even after Governor Gavin Newsom ordered gyms, beauty salons, barbers, and bars to close down due to a surge of coronavirus cases. County health official, Dr. Wilma Wooten, ordered the gym to shutdown last Thursday after discovering the facility violated county orders. Dr. Wooten wouldn't provide the exact number of people who have been affected by the outbreak but only said that three or more cases are connected to the gym.
