A former janitor was convicted Wednesday for his role in the 2015 murder of an escort from Long Beach, per multipe reports.

On the night of Dec 18, 2015, Nain Isaac Nieto Hernandez, a 36-year-old resident of Santa Ana, supposedly hired an escort online to meet him at a Newport Beach office building where he worked.

The 23-year-old victim, Sarai Alcaraz, an escort from the adult entertainment agency Cyren Entertainment was driven to the meetup by Jordan Beltran where they arrived at the office building just after 10 p.m.

  • The LA Times reported Beltran received a text at 10:29 p.m. from Alcaraz that the client canceled the meetup and received money from Hernandez, but she never left the building.

  • Beltran encountered a man leaving the building, but the man ran back inside. Cyren Entertainment called the Newport Beach Police to report Alcaraz as missing.

  • Authorities discovered Alcaraz's body inside a garbage can in the janitor’s closet and that she died from numerous blows to the head.

  • City News Service reported Hernandez has mixed martial arts experience and would claim he was defending himself from Alcaraz after she attempted to rob him.
