Teen shot in Long Beach parking lot
A 16-year-old girl was wounded multiple times in a shooting in a parking lot early Sunday morning, Long Beach Police say.
The LBPD says officers arrived at the scene at roughly 11:45 a.m. at the 1400 block of Magnolia Avenue. After arriving, the officers came upon a 16-year-old girl with “ gunshot wounds to the upper and lower body.”
Police say the 16-year-old victim was setting up a fundraiser in a parking lot and became involved in a dispute with an unknown number of suspects. After which, the victim was shot and wounded.
The Long Beach Fire Department transported the victim to a local hospital, where she was listed in stable condition.
Police didn’t provide any information on the suspect(s), but said they found evidence that a shooting did occur. The LBPD says investigators think the shooting could be ‘gang-relaated.’
