Triple Shooting in N. Long Beach: What we know so far
LBPD is investigating a triple shooting that left one woman dead and two others injured during a candlelight vigil in North Long Beach, NBC Los Angeles is reporting.
What we know:
Police dispatched to the area of Orange Avenue and South Street at 9:00 p.m. Monday, after receiving calls of gunfire, they arrived at the scene encountering three women suffering from gunshot wounds.
The victims were attending a candlelight vigil for a Bellflower man who was gunned down Sunday night on the 5800 block of Orange Avenue.
One of the women died at a nearby hospital.
Two women hospitalized, one in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the upper body, and the other is stable with a gunshot wound to her lower body.
The motive for the shooting is unknown, and the identity of the shooter(s) was not immediately available.
