Update: What We Know So Far About the Murder in Carmelitos
On August 2nd:
On Friday, at about 9:45pm LBPD arrived at an apartment complex at the 900 block of Via Wanda in response calls to an altercation between two people at the Carmelitos housing complex.
When police arrived at the scene, they discovered an adult male with multiple gunshot wounds; they transported the victim to a nearby hospital, but he later died. They later identified the victim as 23-year-old Jerrimiyah Davis, a resident of Long Beach.
On August 3rd:
According to the LBPD, Police arrested Paul Booth, the main suspect of the shooting, less than a mile form the scene of the murder. Booth is a 58-year-old man from Long Beach, he has been booked for murder and ex-felon in possession of live ammunition. Booth is being held on $2,000,000 bail at the Long Beach City Jail.
An additional man has been arrested in connection with the shooting that left one Long Beach man dead.
According to KTLA, Darrel Frank, from San Pedro, attempted to conceal the potential murder weapon. LBPD found a rifle used in the murder hidden in a public area.
The victim Jerrimiyah Davis and the main suspect allegedly Paul Booth knew each other.
