West LB Shooting: Bar employee gunned down in the Crow's Nest

A bar employee was shot and killed after getting into a "verbal dispute" with a patron at the West Long Beach bar the Crow's Nest Sunday night, police said.


Gunfire erupted at roughly 10:15, inside the Crow's Nest located on the 1900 block of Willow Street in West Long Beach. The worker sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body and later died at a nearby hospital.

  • The suspect, who remains at large, discharged his weapon multiple times towards the victim.

  • LBPD officers provided medical aid to the wounded employee, and LBFD transported him to the hospital.

  • The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner will identify the victim and notify the next of kin.
