What we know so far: LAPD officer injured after being attacked in San Pedro
An LAPD officer was injured after being attacked by a man inside a police station in San Pedro late Saturday night, per multiple outlets.
According to the LA Times, the suspect attacked the officer and had taken his gun. The watch commander, who overheard noises, came out and witnessed the altercation and fired his weapon at the suspect and missed.
The suspect escaped in a white pick-up truck and was later apprehended, per CNN
The officer is in stable condition at a nearby hospital after he was reportedly pistol-whipped multiple times to the head, per Fox 11.
